Pregnancy Support in Santa Cruz
Pregnancy is one of the great thresholds a woman crosses, a sacred unfolding of body and soul at once. Your shape is changing, your sense of who you are is shifting beneath you, and the questions reach further than any chart can answer. You don't have to find your way through this alone.
Lotus Flow Health offers nurse-led pregnancy support throughout Santa Cruz County: one-on-one sessions with Eireann Del Bonta, RN, in your home or by video. Eireann is also a trained doula, and that training shows in how she listens, but this work is nursing support, not doula care. And it is not a replacement for your OB or midwife: it is the layer of care they rarely have time to give, unhurried education, preparation, and presence, woman to woman.

What we work on together
- Understanding your changing body. What is actually happening, trimester by trimester, explained by a nurse in language that respects both the science and you. Which symptoms are the body doing its work, and which are worth a call to your provider.
- Preparing for birth. What to expect, how to advocate for yourself in appointments and in the delivery room, and birth preferences that honor your voice, built with someone who knows the clinical landscape from the inside.
- The deeper unfolding. The identity shifts, the grief and the awe, that come with becoming a mother. This threshold changes more than your body, and that change deserves tending too.
- Nutrition, movement, and rest. Grounded in real evidence and in respect for your changing body, not fear of it.
- A steady presence. A knowledgeable person to call when something feels uncertain, medically or otherwise, before it becomes a 2am spiral.
How sessions work
As a nurse, Eireann offers clinical knowledge you can trust, held inside a relationship with room for the whole of what you are carrying. Sessions begin with deep listening, then build into a wellness plan that honors your body and your path, adjusted as your pregnancy unfolds.

Questions about pregnancy support
What does a pregnancy support nurse do?
Education about your changing body, birth preparation, help making sense of what your providers tell you, and steady one-on-one support across the pregnancy, all grounded in Eireann's clinical training as a registered nurse.
Does this replace my OB or midwife?
No. Your OB or midwife remains your medical provider. Eireann works alongside them, giving you the time, education, and advocacy support that short appointments rarely allow.
When in pregnancy should I start?
Whenever you are. Some women begin in the first trimester, others come in the final weeks to prepare for birth. The plan meets you where you are.
Do you come to my home?
Yes. Eireann sees women throughout Santa Cruz County in their homes, and by video when that is easier.
