The Threshold Recipe

Somewhere between the first missed cycle and the last, most women collect a drawer full of advice that does not fit their body. A threshold is the shape a door makes when a woman is becoming someone new, and a door asks to be walked through. The Threshold Recipe is one process built around what is actually true for you, and it ends with a plan written for the woman on the other side of it.

Eireann Del Bonta, RN, spends real time with you first, listening before she recommends anything. What she hears, along with your labs and history where you have them, becomes a written protocol: nutrition, sleep, movement, supplements, and, where it fits, the clinical therapies available through her partnered physician-led practice. One fee covers the complete process, agreed in the first conversation before you begin.

What the Recipe includes

Four parts. Each one is built from what you actually bring to it.

The Conversation

A real listening session

Forty-five minutes, in your home or by video, where Eireann asks about your cycle, your sleep, your mood, and everything else the ten-minute appointments never get to.

The Review

A look at your whole picture

Eireann reads whatever labs, medication lists or history you can share. Follow-up questions come by email, at your pace, over as many days as you need.

The Recipe Itself

A written protocol

Nutrition, sleep, movement, supplements, and, where it fits, the clinical therapies available through her partnered physician-led practice, delivered as a document you keep.

The Debrief

A session to walk through it

Thirty minutes together, line by line, so the plan makes sense before you start living it.

How it works

Most women move from first message to finished protocol in two to three weeks.

1

Start the conversation

Send a message. Eireann usually has your first session on the calendar within a day.

2

Talk it through

Forty-five minutes together. Then email, as anything from your history or labs comes up.

3

Receive your Recipe

A written protocol, addressed to your body and this season of your life.

4

Debrief and begin

One more session. You walk through the plan together, and anything still unclear gets answered before you go.

What it costs

One fee for the whole process: the listening session, the review, the written protocol, and the debrief. Eireann gives you the number in the first conversation, which is free, and will tell you plainly if she thinks a shorter conversation would serve you better.

Questions

Questions about the Threshold Recipe

What if I am not sure this is even perimenopause?

You do not need a diagnosis to start. Most women who come to the Recipe are tired of guessing what their own body is doing. It does not have to be an emergency. Say that in the first conversation, which is free, and Eireann will tell you honestly whether the Recipe is worth doing right now or whether it can wait.

Will you just tell me to go on hormone therapy?

No. Eireann does not prescribe. Some protocols include a conversation about hormone therapy with your physician; most start with sleep, nutrition, movement, and stress instead. What goes in your document comes from what you actually described in the sessions.

What if I have already tried everything and nothing has helped?

That is the most common place women start from. A list of supplements from the internet is a different thing from a plan built on your actual labs, your actual sleep and your actual history. If something you tried already failed, that is information Eireann uses.

Do I need labs or a doctor's note first?

No. Bring whatever you already have, recent bloodwork, a medication list, or nothing at all. Eireann will tell you honestly if anything else would help before you begin. Clinical therapies inside the Recipe still require a physician's order.

Is this covered by insurance?

No. The Recipe is paid directly and covers the listening session, the review, the written protocol, and the debrief, with no insurance billing involved. Some women use HSA or FSA funds; check with your plan administrator, since RN wellness services are not always eligible.

What if the plan does not fit once I see it?

Say so at the debrief. It is a working document, and the final session exists to adjust anything that does not sit right with your life or your body before you leave with it.
